2013 August 27

A funeral was held for Freddie Leigh Bromley on Tuesday 27th August at St Matthew's Church, Cobo at 11am. It was attended by close family and friends and was a beautiful tribute to him. Rik carried Freddie into the church followed by both grandfathers to Eric Clapton's 'Tears In Heaven'. A poem called 'Little Snowdrop' was read by Nicole which was followed by 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy. A second poem called 'These are My Footprints' was read by Emma Mansell. Following the committal and blessing was the song 'Moon River' by Frank Sinatra. Everyone wore something blue and went on to Sandra Arundale's (Grammie's) house after where a Hibiscus Blue Bird was planted in Freddie's memory which will be in flower every August on his birthday.
